Washing tips for silk:

1. Silk fabrics are relatively delicate. When washing, they should be hand-washed, not machine-washed. Rinse with clean water after washing, remove the soapy liquid, do not wring dry; the colored silk clothing can be rinsed repeatedly in clean water. Pay attention to drying the clothes with the reverse side facing out, let them drip dry in a cool place, and then iron or shake them flat when they are dry.

2. Use neutral to acidic detergents for silk, and do not use alkaline detergents, such as washing powder, alkaline soap, soap, etc. The easiest way to do this is to use shampoo or body wash. It should be noted that disinfectant must not be used. Please use special detergents for washing, and avoid using alkaline detergents, soaps, washing powders or other detergents.

3. It is advisable to use warm or cold water for silk. Stir the detergent in the water first and then put it into the clothes. Clothes of different colors must be soaked and washed separately to avoid sticking. Silk is wrinkled, do not twist when washing, shake it gently, and dry it on the opposite side. Do not overlap or fold it to dry to avoid staining.

4. When drying silk, it is best to turn the clothes on the opposite side, shake them straight, hang them on a hanger, and then arrange them evenly. Put them in a cool place to dry, but do not expose them to the sun.

Maintenance tips for silk

Although silk has its natural health care properties, it also encounters some problems in maintenance. The dyes used in real silk printing and dyeing are mainly weak acid dyes, neutral dyes and some direct dyes. The dyeing fastness itself is poor, so it is not suitable to wash at high temperature. Collection of silk clothing, underwear, shirts, trousers, skirts, scarves, etc., should be washed first, ironed and then stored. For the autumn and winter clothing and cheongsam that are inconvenient for us to wash and maintain, we should wash them by dry cleaning and iron them until they are flat to prevent mold and so on. After ironing, it can also play the role of sterilization and insecticide. At the same time, the boxes and cabinets for storing clothes should be kept clean, sealed and maintained as much as possible to prevent dust from contaminating the silk.

When collecting, avoid direct contamination of desiccant, cosmetics, perfume, etc. on silk clothing. If it is accidentally contaminated, it should be cleaned in time, otherwise it will easily turn yellow or black.

As we all know, the wrinkle resistance of silk clothing is slightly worse than that of chemical fibers. After washing and drying, the clothes wrinkle and need ironing to be elegant and beautiful. The temperature should be controlled between 120 and 140 degrees during ironing and maintenance. The iron should not directly touch the silk surface. It must be covered with a white damp cloth before ironing, so as to prevent the silk from becoming brittle or even burning due to high temperature.

For dyed silk advertising shirts, the light fastness is poor, and it will fade when exposed to sunlight or exposed to light for a long time. If the silk fabric is placed in a dark place, its yellowing or discoloration process will be greatly reduced. Therefore, silk fabrics or advertising shirts should be placed in a cool and dry place without direct sunlight. Such maintenance can effectively prevent them from becoming brittle and deteriorate, thereby prolonging the life of silk.
