Breeding environment for dwarf hamsters

The environment in which dwarf hamsters are raised is also very particular, and a casually built environment will not satisfy them. On top of that, dwarf hamsters prefer to live alone and dislike social environments. Therefore, try to respect their habits when feeding and setting up the environment. So what should the ideal living environment for a dwarf hamster look like? What supplies do I need to feed them?

1. Food bowls: Anything will do, including clean ashtrays, small boxes, etc... Be careful not to break the edges.

2. Roller: Please choose a seamless roller, the roller with seam will make the hamster easy to get stuck feet when running.

3. Water bottle: The steel ball type water bottle is the best, and there is also a dropper type. The most important thing is not to leak.

4. Small nests: You can make your own with sorting boxes, or you can use the small nests sold in the market, the price ranges from tens of yuan to several hundred yuan.

5. Hamster toilets and bathrooms: place rat sand, bath sand, etc. for hamsters to use the toilet or roll sand to bathe.

7. Winter warm items: cotton, warm bags, socks.

8. Cage: In summer, please use a ventilated wire cage, or a half-iron and half-plastic cage, such as a field cage. In winter, keep your hamster warm. All plastic cages are more suitable for winter use. (Do not use barbed wire for the cage chassis, hamsters are prone to fractures)

9. Cushion: pine sawdust, poplar, laboratory sawdust, etc., can keep hamster warm and absorb water in winter.

10. Thin cat litter: It is more suitable for summer use, relatively cool, and it will condense into lumps after absorbing water, which can be scooped up. (For high-quality cat litter, please use high-quality cat litter without fragrance beads)

11. Corn root: used in summer, cool, but not absorbent, the price is slightly more expensive.

12. For the material of the wood chip mat, please try not to use scented wood chips.
