1. About the lop-eared rabbit taking a bath
Don't bathe baby rabbits, rabbits like to be clean and they lick their fur every day. Bathing them is not recommended. However, if you must take a shower, you should choose to do so when the weather is good and the sun is shining. It should be avoided that water enters its ears, as it can cause otitis media if it is not careful.
2. Grooming lop-eared rabbits
Lop-eared rabbits are mostly hairy types, so when the seasons change, they must have more hair than short-haired rabbits. Over time, the bunny's skin will become red and swollen due to shading. Experts generally recommend that raising lop-eared rabbits should be carried out in the way of long-haired rabbits, and the drooping ears are the focus of finishing.
3. Lop-eared rabbits are afraid of heat
The lop-eared rabbit's fur is thick enough to withstand severe cold. But it is very afraid of heat because the sweat glands are underdeveloped and cannot regulate body temperature in the form of sweating. The suitable temperature for adult rabbits is 15~25℃, and the suitable temperature for young rabbits is 30~32℃.

According to the experiment, the nighttime food intake of lop-eared rabbits accounts for about 75% of the total daily food intake. Therefore, rabbits must insist on feeding at night.
5. Lop-eared rabbits like a dry and clean environment
Lop-eared rabbits are afraid of wetness, like to be clean, and hate to be dirty. Therefore, in terms of feeding and management, a dry and clean living environment must be created, the rabbit cage should be kept dry frequently, and the rabbit cage should be brushed once a week. Feed, drinking water, feeding tools, etc. must be kept clean frequently. Dark, humid, and dirty air is the main cause of infection in lop-eared rabbits.
Lop-eared rabbit breeding environment
Lop-eared rabbits are very adaptable to the environment. Lops in cages should be provided with comfortable cushions. If it is a free-range lop-eared rabbit, the ability to go to the toilet must be trained. Environmental hygiene can be maintained.
1. Rabbits should be kept in a hygienic, dry and ventilated environment. If the environment is humid and unsanitary, it is easy to breed bacteria and cause skin diseases in rabbits;
2. If the cage where the baby rabbit lives is a dog cage, a wooden board should be added to the cage. Long-term lack of foot pads can cause foot dermatitis, which is difficult to cure;
3. The caged rabbits should maintain more than 1 hour of activity every day;
4. If you are afraid that the rabbit will pour out the excretion, you can teach it to go to the toilet. Its urine and feces should be cleaned every day, if not cleaned, long-term accumulation will produce nitrogen;
5. Do not bathe baby rabbits. Rabbits like to be clean. They lick their fur every day. Bathing them is not recommended. The staple food of lop-eared rabbits is best to choose hay, which can not only ensure their health, but also help them grind their teeth.
1. It is recommended that when buying a young rabbit, do not rush to name it, but feed it coccidiosis medicine to prevent coccidiosis. Coccidiosis occurs acutely, and many young rabbits die of coccidiosis, followed by diarrhea;
2. The lop-eared rabbit eats vegetables and causes diarrhea, so give it 4 tablets of lactase in time. If you do not have lactase at home, you can also feed lactic acid bacteria tablets and probiotics;
3. The lop-eared rabbit's teeth will grow indefinitely. Get a molar bar for it. Some rabbits like to bite on wires and the like, be careful;
4. Lop-eared rabbits do not feel full and need to control the amount of feeding to avoid death;
5. Lop-eared rabbits cannot be fed too much starch, starch is very bad for rabbits;
6. When catching a lop-eared rabbit, don't scratch the rabbit's ears. Ears are an important organ of a rabbit. Rabbits have no sweat glands, so they must use their ears to dissipate heat. Rabbit ears are not meant to be caught. Can cause the rabbit's ears to be unable to straighten and turn. The correct way to hold a rabbit should be: drag the rabbit's back with one hand, and lift the rabbit's butt with the other hand, so that the rabbit's legs and belly are facing forward.
